recent strange behaviour

Hi,for the last few weeks when I click on Login to My Virgin Media I get Firefox Can't find server.I also get this when I click Go to vstuff online from my desktop..I tried to register with Virgin CommunityForums for help, again server not found. No problem with accessing email and ebilling.
Recently virgin tec solved my login to Fantasy Football by making my Proxy setting-webcache.virginmedia .com.Local host is 127.0.0.1.
All other login problems remain and tec suggest it is a setting on my mac and they can do no more.Yet this is a recent issue and only with Virgin.
The only recent change has been my using vstuff backup, which I cannot access.
Help much appreciated.

I am on an Intel Mac OS 10.4.11

Re: recent strange behaviour

I wonder if it's anything to do with the virginmedia.com domain suddently appearing in modem configs? I'm sure that one of the resident experts will be around shortly
