well we are using about 2.0kw per hour when both of us are gaming and my mum is watching tv and using here laptop at a night, but when i sort my pc out fully i would expect that to be around 3.0kw at a night, due to running sli'd 480's and a 6 core if i get them we shall see what my dad say's he wants for electric of me a month when i get one of the card's.

Re: How many PCs does your household have?

The 480s are very power hungry. Are you really really considering a 6 core cpu? that for me is deffo a wait for a sensible price £850 for 2 extra cores I dont think so somehow lol

I will be waiting for the lower priced one's for that as i refuse to pay that price for a cpu that is not any better for gaming than my current quad core, but when they are cheaper then yes i probably will get one but not paying more than £350 for a cpu.

Once i have paid a few bill's of i will be spending around another 1.5k on my pc, dependent on how things go of course and if i can afford the elecy bill .

Leaving the parents in peace would mean having to pay his own utility bills, rent, etc which would put a real dent in the electronics budget.

Re: How many PCs does your household have?

How come so many in this thread have waved all sorts of gadgets and gizmos around? Most of which could not be further from a "PC" if they tried?

Ive got an electronic calculator thats got a chip in does that count where does it end?

I think if it links to a network, it is being counted (so I could have added my BluRay player....)
