Outlook won't send emails

I have set up outlook express as per instructions on VM site it receives emails fine but won't send them.

I get

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'smtp.ntlworld.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 aamtaout04-winn.ispmail.ntl.com connection refused from [149.***.**.**]', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

What is going wrong please? I made the last few **** as not sure if that is info I shouldn't publish?

Any help please?

Re: Outlook won't send emails

After lots of looking round net found that as on netbook using T mobile broadband it will block outgoing smtp ntl? Is that corretc?

Therefore changed outgoing to smtp.t-email.co.uk

This doesn't give any error messages and says mail sent.

The mail hasn't arrived as the other end 10 hours later. Any ideas what is wrong now? Where is the email going? Thanks for any help

Re: Outlook won't send emails

You have done right using the t-mobile smtp settings, but apparently this needs authentication, so in your Outlook settings you need to select authentication and tick use inbox settings or similar
