As Red says this is ESPN's first year in the UK. I watch US telly with a slingbox quite a lot and one of their US ESPN channels shows rather a lot of NASCAR (not that I'm a huge fan). Bet there is an ESPNA2 before you know it.
Roll on the College American Football season in September. Lets hope we have ESPNA HD by then.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
I would love to see ESPNA HD this would be the icing on the cake for me. Sky One HD , Animal Planet HD and Five HD when it launches. Does anyone know why Disney seem slow out the blocks with an HD Channel , I know they have Disney Cinemagic HD but i would have thought shows like Hannah Montana and all the other kids favourites were being shot in HD now.

Five HD - Update
I thought I would email the Head of Press @ Five to ask if Five HD was a Sky exclusive or if it would become available on other platforms. (excl Freeview)
Reply - It’s our hope to make Five HD available on as many platforms as possible.
Hopefully Five HD will be on VM

Well done - I had thought about emailing but usually you get fobbed off with some half cocked reply (such as we have no plans blah blah blah) so this sounds very promising, Fingers crossed.

Some broadcaster are open and honest and alot of the time this sort of information is free on there websites, press releases and in some cases there Qtr reports - alot have future plans etc.
Like I know from reading both ESPN & Discovery results/plans both are spending alot of money HD content (HD channel and on demand)
ESPN are looking into ESPN America HD and also ESPN2 (Not HD yet for 2 but it seems they might use ESPN HD for both ESPN and ESPN2)
Discovery are looking into releasing Animal Planet HD - its already in the US so its down to Discovery Euorpe to release also Discovery have huge amount of on demand HD content but again its currently US only.
The likes of
TLC HD
Science HD
Planet Green HD
Animal Planet HD
HD Theater - (This is shown in 1080i and 5.1 digital surround)
US HD content is huge - yes they have more channels (most show rubbish) but there HD content on the good channels is second to non.
Us in the UK are way behind the HD curve even SKY.

Do you know how long will it take for all of the Manchester area to be updated?

Five had first offer on the 4th Freeview HD channel - Ofcom have now given this option back to the BBC (visit ofcom website it has all reason why etc)- which now means we could see BBC News HD or BB2 HD but it seems BBC News HD is more likely.
There is a 5th HD channel up for grabs but I think that’s expected around 2013
The whole thing seems to be one big merry go round - All free to air channels have to apply to Ofcom for HD channel or any extra channel and allow the others to agree or disagree - Its called fair trading.
Thats the basics and I'm sure there is more behind it but don’t want to start another debate on how rubbish Ofcom really is for us consumers

As far as I know RTE Radio and WRN Radio are just broadcasting in Ex-Telewest areas.
Do you mean BBC Radio 4 LW and BBC London?

I hate to tell you this but Kylie hasn't been in Neighbours since 1988!
