Power Adjustment Issue

Right for the past 2 weeks almost my connection has been almost flawless i cant complain. Although modem still shows T3 on the upstream it hasnt affected my connection from what i have seen.

This morning i went to use my internet and everything was tediously slow, i did all the usual, rebooted modem and router, put it str8 though and did away with router and still the same, did a tracert and ping and got these results...

C:\Users\c>ping bbc.co.uk

Trace complete.

After an hour or so connection settled down and its working fine again from what i can see, sites open quickly and downloads are fast.

Now i only get this issue if the modem has been switched off for a while for example power cut, or if i go away i will turn it off.

Second line support believes its a problem here somewhere locally as my modem at the time showed 200 power level adjustments so they said.

Could it be the modem thats at fault as i said after about an hour or so of being on all seems well again, its as if the modem just takes its time to settle back into its job after being off.

Re: Power Adjustment Issue

I think the modem just takes its time to settle back into its job after being off.....

Re: Power Adjustment Issue

You haven't peeved any of the technicians/engineers off have you? If yes then they're probably sat at the cabinet round the corner having a good laugh whilst they tweak your power up and down...

Such is the danger of posting in the forums
