Re: Virgin Media launches new Travel Passes for surfing abroad

As the EU regulations come in March allowing a maximum charge of €1 per megabyte while roaming and Virgin are charging £1 megabyte on this tariff it's hardly something to get excited about is it. It's still a rip off. You can go into most mobile shop abroad and get a gig for the duration of your holiday for less than £10 can even pre buy them on ebay. Or if you have a fon spot like myself you can surf for free at any other fon spot anywhere in the world. All hype all hype.

W00T!!
Now we can have over-priced broadband and bad service all year round.
Even on holiday!

To be fair though, it's not just VM.
Mobile Internet prices are criminal!
You have to love UK industry's method of encouraging budding markets to grow and prosper.
Soon as anything remotely new or exotic arrives, throw out a half-assed version and charge everyone through the nose for it!
