Annoying internet outage.

Hello!!! I have comcast and I've been experiencing random connection loss for the last week or so. I've got comcast's Arris MODEL: TM702G. My downstream stays ~(-1) to 3 dBmV, 40dB SNR. Upstream - ~45 dBmV. Once I've noticed that i get 50+ dBmV upstream when I experience connection loss. Also I get these messages: Ranging Request Retries exausted; and No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;. It seems I've tried everything - power cycling the modem, checking the cables, even putting the fan on the modem. The connection outages are random and some last for over an hour, I also get around 20 a day. This type of connection is unbearable, does anyone know what might be causing it?
Thank You,
Darius

Re: Annoying internet outage.

Not sure if anyone here would be able to help as this site deals mainly with Virgin Media issues. (UK based site).

It will be interesting to see if someone can though.

Re: Annoying internet outage.

Hi Dario,

I do have some ideas but rather than just throwing random techno-babble at you that won't help you fix this issue I'll give you some advice that will

You might find this query better put on http://www.dslreports.com/forum/comcast where other Comcast customers and the odd staffer can advise, and indeed you can get help from Comcast reps directly in the Comcast Direct section.

This forum is quite strongly UK centric, there you're in with a pretty good shot of having a Comcast staffer picking up the case.

Thanks!
