Re: Virgin Media - 2nd Television options

ok so still no signal from vbox-y splitter is plugged into rf out on box as its shared with the video-did actually take the lead out of video in case there was conflict.
2nd tv is snowy and unwatchable on channels 1-5 as for a cable chan -no joy
wont even pick up a weak signal.
a thought i had was the cable-im using basic extension tv cable 3.99 for 10metres and not the thick cable virgin use..would this be part of problem.

Re: Virgin Media - 2nd Television options

The trick is to take the 2nd RF output and plug it into a RF plug-amp ( got mine from B&Q I think)

run the cable wherever you want then (mines in kitchen & 2nd bedroom)

I get an almost perfect signal ( altho as earlier poster said no stereo)

I use a digisender for sending remote control signals from the secondary rooms back to the V+ box - works every time !

you can use digisender to power DVD from DVD/R-Box round the house

Re: Virgin Media - 2nd Television options

have been looking at these amps-seem a bit costly? im not that fussed in getting a signal to bedroom-the portable ariel works fine-just thought it would be handy to have cable up there-why the hell i get a weak signal beats me.
never had this problem before in old times-used a y splitter and just put it in back of tv and got a decent pic to other telly.
im guessing my cables r cheap quality and cant handle the signal.
