Router for 50meg BB

I've got VM 50meg Broadband. I've got the wireless router set up from VM at the moment, but I dont want it. I don't use wireless.

I want to get a non wireless router, any suggestions please?

I use homeplugs for my PS3 and Blu ray player.

Re: Router for 50meg BB

Why not just use the four wired ports in the back on the router and turn the wireless radio off?

It's extremely difficult to get a non-wireless router these days

Re: Router for 50meg BB

Open a webpage and in the address bar put http://192.168.1.1/ when the login screen appears put in the username : admin and the passphrase : password and the Netgear router page will now appear, down the left side click on Advanced Wireless settings at the bottom on the left and you will find the enable radio tick box, just remove the tick.

Re: Router for 50meg BB

Thanks a lot for your help my man.

I unticked this box Enable Wireless Router Radio. What about the Enable SSID Broadcast and Enable WMM boxes?

The light above number one is now gone off. So it's off now which is cool.

Cheers.

If the radio was on it would broadcast the name of the router, as long as radio is unticked then its not transmitting.
