Intermittent Sound Problems

Bit of a weird one this, would like to know if anyone else is getting it.

Very intermittently, probably once every few days, the sound on our cable box goes a bit weird. It seems to happen on BBC1 but I'm sure I've heard it on other channels too.

The best way I can describe it is, say during North West Tonight they are interviewing someone, the interviewer sounds fine but when the person being interviewed answers, it's distorted as if they are talking into a really cheap microphone and holding it very close to their mouth. It's also a bit echoey. The other person can talk at the same time and sound normal - I've also heard it during football where the pundits are talking and one of them sounds a bit strange whereas the others are OK.

This lasts for maybe 30 seconds then goes back to normal. I'm wondering, seeing as it seems to pick out a paricular channel or microphone, if it's a broadcast fault and if it is, I guess other people will have heard it....

Either that or I'm going mad!
