Celebs we lost
Their deaths were no more important than anyone elses' but I'd forgotten about some of these, in my shame.
Still, it's an interesting look at some of the more well-known names we lost in 2009.

If there is one thing set in stone in life it is that it will come to an end!
I have sympathy with celebs dying however people die alone every day after a struggle of a life.

I didn't bat an eyelid watching the slideshow until it came to the veterans then I had watery eyes. We owe them so much.

Re: Celebs we lost
I think that's the difference. On an individual level a lot of the people in those slideshows had a bigger effect than an individual veteran and it is sad we lost people who make such a difference to our culture. The difference is that people like Harry Patch were representatives of a collective who had a much bigger impact on our lives.
