Virgin bill charge confusion.

Hihi, i recently recieved my paper bill from Virgin in regards to my monthly services, for a couple of months i have felt as if i have been getting overcharged (One of those inclings!) however each time a bill comes through, i keep forgetting what i was looking for.

Anyway, tonight i had a look through and i thought it was a bit high for the internet service i was on. Virgin's website is so very confusing at times, and you're never given a clearcut picture as to what the service charges are.

I just checked the sticky at the top of this page though, which sent me to http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...d/compare.html

The internet service which i am on, is the Broadband Large service (10mb). On my bill it is coming in at £25 per month - But on the website above it says it is only £15!

I used to work for a mobile company so im slightly aware as to how bills are produced, usually you'll recieve credits which i have done - But the credit/deduction doesnt state its for the Large, but instead something to do with my TV.

Below is a small image of my bill for the services for the month, no personal information is presented so its no big deal :p

As you can see it says i am being charged a flat rate of £25 for my Broadband Large, but for some reason it looks wrong. Only noticed this now after about a year and a half :p

Re: Virgin bill charge confusion.

BB L always shows as £25 on the bill excluding any discounts you may recieve

The discount you have is to do with all 3 services, it is just a very old ntl deal - so at least 3 years old

triple L is down as £27.45 pluss 11 line rental so £38.45 looks like you are paying £43 ish so you need to call them get on triple L but it will mean a new 12 month contract

Re: Virgin bill charge confusion.

I think i partially remember now, the Triple-L you speak of would be referring to the Large Broadband/Telephone/TV deal? I remember being on that 3-for-£30 deal which yes, is a number of years old now.

However i went online about a year or so ago and upgraded my broadband, and it seems from that point things have become somewhat skewed.

So, im paying £30 for the LLL deal [Which essentially has been broken since i upgraded?] and an extra £25 for the broadband internet which i upgraded?

Ooh...

Signing a new contract/upgrading isnt an option for me yet though since im somewhat wondering about the O2 deals [Since im on a staff contract :p] but havent put any thought into it until now.

Re: Virgin bill charge confusion.

The original deal you had for £30 was 1Mbit broadband (what is now BB M), Base pack (what is now TV L) and a 3,2,1 phone plan (Which is now the 4p plan). Talk Evenings and Weekends was an extra on top of that deal

There have been several price changes since that original deal, some up like BB M and a change to the discount and some down like Talk Evenings and Weekends.

When you upgraded online last year it would have replaced your BB M charge which at the time was £18 with the BB L charge at £25, so increased your bill by £7 a month
