If Man City had scored a 90 seconds after the match was supposed to have ended i'm sure Ferguson would have been back to using his stopwatch again.
If it wasn't so bad for football, you could laugh at the feeble excuses Man U fans come up with justififying their time added on.

Not watch MOTD then? 1min for City celebrating + 30s for the substitution = 95m30s which we scored the winner inside of.

Manchester United defender Gary Neville may face punishment from the Football Association following his reaction to Michael Owen's late winner in Sunday's derby. Neville, an unused substitute, ran down the touchline towards Manchester City's fans to celebrate.

Bit like Adebayor? Apparently he tried to make out he was just warming up after he noticed the cameras, pity all 3 subs had been used you plank, sooner you retire and disappear back up Beckhams backside the better, your a relic from a bygone age of hositility and hatred

I know you are but what am I
Seeing as we are back in the playground
and yes Russ I regularly taunt oposition fans in front of tv cameras undermining the work my club and others have done to try and build good relations between rival clubs, you never know if he goes for the hat trick he might start a riot next time, like the one that happened at my club when a group of morons just like him got together.

Seriously - get over yourself. Can you not see the irony of accusing Neville of being 'from a bygone age of hositility and hatred' when you're not exactly being kind to him?
No, clearly not.

Even though Match of the day, sky sports news, various ex-referees (Dermot Gallagher, Graeme Poll) showed the referee was correct and did the right thing. Very bad for football indeed

Just to mix things up: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...-stoppage-time

Sir Alex Ferguson likes to boast that his Manchester United team score more late goals than any other side in the world. Others argue that they get a bit of extra help from referees. It has now emerged that the Premier League champions do, as suspected, benefit from an imbalance in the amount of stoppage time that is added to their matches.

So he realised he made a mistake by running towards the City fans and stopped what he was about to do because he knew it would be stupid? Shame on him.

It's like the statistic saying teams rarely get penalties at OT and when you see teams park the bus you see why, because they aren't in the box as often!

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
From the neutral stance I see it as basic schoolboy stuff.... play to the whistle.
Mark Hughes should be having a go at his players for not seeing out the game instead of the referee.

Clearly no because that isn't irony, that would make the nevller and I both the same, we'd have to be the opposite or at least very different for there to be a hint of irony, funny as cancer for instance, had you called me a hypocrite you'd have had a point, maybe.

You are priceless, that actually deserves a rep, so he didn't notice the camera and think better of, he realised his mistake and rectified his behaviour, you should defend him should it get that far.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
I now declare this thread a no-humour zone to anyone posting against Man United players.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
If most Utd fans are honest they will admit that a draw would probably have been a fair result, for any team to come from behind 3 times is an achievement especially at OT.
I`m not disputing the goal, fair play it was a goal nowt you can do about that.
It`s just a shame what must go down as one of the greatest derby matches of all time is now being degraded by.......................!
