Virgin was adding the ESPN Channels area by area so I think ESPN Classic will launch in about 30mins in every area.

As far as I know it is - Virgin said it was when they installed it. BBC HD works fine though and is definitely in HD, so I presume it is - I'm completely baffled as to why the new channels don't work

Media Boy EXCLUSIVE: Virgin to axe ''The Asian Package'' soon.
I have been told that Virgin Media has got plans in the wind to axe The Asian Package and will be inclusive with the XL package over the next few months.

Wow. That is a deal, isn't it like 20 quid a month extra package?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
I have just been told via the newsgroups that there is currently a fault with ESPN classic, and they are working on it being up and running asap.

That means it's cheaper to subscribe to XL Package if you just want Asian Channels, Virgin are really trying to out do Sky now.

Best way to check is press "Home" on your remote then "Settings" (option 8), then "Change display & audio settings" (option 4).Check what it says for "TV display format" (second one down on the list).

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
With the revamping of the TV side of things which as far as i can see the customer across the board is going to benefit from i.e. the HD , the ESPN deal, and now this announcement of an Asian deal.
Does anyone else feel that Virgin feel they must be about to save a chunk of change in the way they do business with Sky for their channels.
I mean how are Virgin going to claw back the money they must surely have committed to finance these deals ?
Or is it just a case of making the top TV package XL that much better value and hope that the numbers taking it rocket.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
ESPN Classic is now broadcasting.
ESPN HD still has no EPG data, just says 'No programme information'.
If the news about the Asian channels is true, then the XL just keeps going from strength to strength. This will give Sky some serious competition, as the price of Asian channels on Virgin was always too high.

You need to ring up customers services like it says on the message. Sounds like a fault or an issue with your account.
Whether your using your v+ box with a HDMI lead or not wouldn't stop you accessing the channels.
Hope that helps
