To view HD you need a V+ Box and a HD TV connected to it via the HDMI connector.

Even if you have the XL package, as I do, they will be greyed out if you do not have the appropriate hardware to view them.

The HD channels (inc. BBC HD) will show on a V Box but greyed out just like any other unsubscribed channel.

Some viewers, such as Media Boy and ex-TW customers, are having difficulty but that seems to be a more specific problem.

I tried to watch a 40th anniversary moon landing programme a couple of weeks ago and got a 1202 error - the same as the 1202 program alarm they got on Apollo 11. Spooky!

Nice one spider. I am enjoying this thread at the moment. I makes such a nice change to see more happy people on here instead of the usual moaners and VM knockers.

I trust you, but I always like a press release or article to back it up. We'll soon see anyway.

Spider and Ben as both virgin employees doubt they will doa press release, how much you want to bet the reason for the quick launch is because they have had aot of hit son the new hd channels and releasised it very poplour?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)

Virgin starts ESPN tests:

I got this from an Ex-NTL viewer:

Quote:
VMTest5 has been renamed ESPN HD and is video testing with no epg.

Virgin are also testing ESPN & ESPN Classic though they are not yet testing video and epg.

ESPN Epg No. is 529
ESPN Classic Epg No. is 531
Be back in 30mins eating my dinner.

I've got V+ connected to my SD TV via SCART and I've always been able to watch BBC HD.

Was able to view the new HD channels this morning.

All you get is an info. message saying that it's a HD broadcast being viewed on an SD TV.

I just checked - I get Virgin 1 player as well - 2 options Last 7 days and best of. Nothing listed under "Last 7 Days" but 5 different series under "Best of". (I appologise if this is already known)
