ESPN America will reappear on Virgin TV in the few months time when ESPN has took over an EPG Channel on Sky.

So Sky's STB capacity problems are impacting VM's ability to carry channels! That is so wrong!
Why is this? Surely what fits into Sky's EPG should have no bearing on what VM have in theirs.
What glaringly obvious point have I missed?
Remember this from the movie Grease?
Look at me I'm Astra D

On the V+ we have here you press 'Home' and then 1 for 'TV Guide' and then 7 for 'HD Channels'

No more this week, ESPN HD will launch on Monday, possibly along with Channel 4 HD (C4HD may launch another day next week, or another week, no confirmation). Living HD is set for September, with Eurosport HD and History HD with no confirmed dates but deals have been done with VM.

Not that this is a problem for me (I am not a huge sports fan) but in response to some other questions. Looks like loads of footy in HD but the american sports are still going to be in SD (but at least it is available)

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
I am very happy to see ESPN HD coming to Virgin on Monday. It is great addition to XLtv Customs, but I am very disaported about ESPN Amerca disappearing for a couple of months right at the start of the scond half of the Baseball season we are going to miss the play-offs and the world series if ESPN Amercia goes off air. Who watches ESPN Classic any way, really old football match who cares! Come on Virgin just because Sky have a problem with EPG numbers should not mean your Amerca Sports fans should suffer.

Just to clarify with no patronising intended and prefixed with AFAIK ...
To view HD you need a V+ Box and a HD TV connected to it via the HDMI connector.
Even if you have the XL package, as I do, they will be greyed out if you do not have the appropriate hardware to view them.
The HD channels (inc. BBC HD) will show on a V Box but greyed out just like any other unsubscribed channel.
Some viewers, such as Media Boy and ex-TW customers, are having difficulty but that seems to be a more specific problem.
I tried to watch a 40th anniversary moon landing programme a couple of weeks ago and got a 1202 error - the same as the 1202 program alarm they got on Apollo 11. Spooky!
