ESPN America being remove is due to Sky who do not give new channels numbers out any more - On Sky all the broadcasters need to buy an EPG Channel from the other broadcaster.
And with the Football due to start in August ESPN need to start an ESPN UK Channel up using ESPNA Sky's EPG Channel number.
ESPN America will reappear on Virgin TV in the few months time when ESPN has took over an EPG Channel on Sky.

I know, I wouldn't have been up until half 7 if my daughter wasn't stood in her cot shouting me at 6:20am! Crazy kids.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
just to warn people..
National Geographic HD doesn't start broadcasting each day until 8am incase you are wondering why it's not working.
FX HD doesn't start broadcasting each day until 7pm incase you are wondering why it's not working.
Its a shame repeats aren't aired on FX HD during the day

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
I had been checking the EPG all week uner HD but nothing was coming up. Today I have the channels although i'm not on XL at moment.
Will check the EPG later and then see if there is anything on there I am likely to watch.
Good news on the HD channels though and nice to know there are more coming in the future

I didn't mean to imply that such companies had changed their registered names, just their trading names, logos, liveries etc.
Oh, don't get me started on ridiculous, expensive rebranding exercises either. This isn't the place for it unless it's to do with channel rebranding (Dave, Shed etc.).

Sounds about right for VM's epg. One day it might actually work! Unplug/reset to correct.
Great news about the HD channels.

I have been doing that for over an hour - still the same.
But my EPG via TV Guide is working.

More likely to be a problem at the headend I would say. I don't recommend unplugging that.
