I think the slaps a bit much especially to a first time post. I agree vm's vod is far superior and I use it most weekends during the day (not just to catch up on things)
If you look at what i said it was meant to be sarcastic (as if sky would give virgin acces to the only good content it has on demand)
But as TheDon says we could do with the content. Surley more vod content is better and I for one would happily watch a full series of Stargate atlantis or 24 on vod rather than splash out on the dvds ( as i enjoy them but not enough to shell out the £30+ for the box set)
Anyway each to their own i suppose.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
An Virgin Media viewer pm me tonight has they noticed on the Geo TV's website that they are or will be in discussion with Virgin Media regarding their channels.
Quote:
Q. IS GEO AVAILABLE ON CABLE IN UK?
A: We are currently available on SKY Digital...we are aware that many of our audiences are on NTL and Telewest, but recently during our start of discussions we were informed by NTL that currently they do not have the capacity to launch a new channel on their platform. We are expecting to start our negotiations once again in 2009. Write to us on geouk@geo.tv so that we have maximum feedback from you to support our discussions with NTL/Telewest (Send us your name, address and other contact details).

http://www.geo.tv/geopages/faqs.htm
Wikipedia says Geo TV is own by ''Independent Media Corporation''
If Virgin do sign an deal them we may get:
GEO UK
AAG
GEO News

Live football in HD on Virgin Media
Tucked away towards the end of Danielle Nagler's latest blog post is the news that the BBC's weekend coverage of Championship* football next season will be broadcast in HD, starting August 8th. Hurrah! Now can we please have ITV HD before the Champions League and FA Cup kick off?
Hey have just seen this on the vmhd.blogspot and also have read the bbc hd blog of which it does state that football will be broadcast in hd .

The BBC has the rights to show TEN Championship games, with some of the old 'Coca-Cola' Cup games per season.
