Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Well, its a start, at least virginemedia are starting to compete with Sky.
The good news is as well is that if you have the XL Pack you wont have to pay extra for HD channels like you would do with sky.
Maybe we will be seeing a totally different channel line up by the end of the year.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Has there been no word on Virgin changing their encryption? I find it amazing that their current encryption system is still in place considering the thousands and thousands who use boxes to watch all the channels.
My neighbour for instance has been using a box now for four years!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
we have only had 1 post saying the channels that were in testing, there has been 0 proof, i wish people wouldn't believe everything they read. Like with a guy who said channels would launch on may 1st or something in dsforums saying remember where you heard it first, mediaboy then posted on page 1 to show that it would happen but it didn't. Unfortunately some people lie like with doctored screenshots and fake photos of new products so we should believe nothing until we see proof, eurosport may not be in testing.

Nobody lied about the channels being tested, they are being tested. Nobody has mentioned a concrete date since it was discovered the channels were being tested.

Here is the latest HD Channels on Virgin Media information I have at time of posting.
Virgin is rumoured to be set to start launching the new HD Channels from July 30th - mid August.
With Living HD coming in September.
I think I know the EPG Channels numbers for the new HD Channels (NOTE: The following EPG may move):
FX HD may launch on Virgin Channel 158.
Living HD may launch on Virgin Channel 159.
Nat Geo HD may launch on Virgin Channel 232.
MTVNHD may launch on Virgin Channel 314.
Plus as of Saturday July 11th, Eurosport HD and History HD was not testing in an Ex-ntl area of Virgin Media.

Agreed, probably the four free-to-air HD channels to give parity to what HD channels will ultimately be available on Freeview.

Just upgraded to XL TV ready for HD and added unlimited phone calls for less than I was paying originally. Great.
