MSN and Webcam troubles

I have a TRUST 14830 webcam which is a 1.3 Megapixel cam with the latest driver.

the problem is i cant get it to work with MSN Messenger, when i try and start my webcam for people to view its greyed out, if i reinstall the drivers it works phaps once or twice and then it happens again.

Anyone have similar problems?

Just a little quirk I found by chance with my MSN Windows Live Messenger (latest version). If you have selected "don't show my camera to others - then not only does it not show it to others, but it doesn't show it to yourself either.

I uninstalled, re-installed, and rolled back several versions before I twigged on to that. I think it's a bug (heaven forbid that MS should have bugs), but it doesn't work as previous!
