Exclamation Connect Samsung V+ box to PC. Help needed please.

Hi,

First of all a quick hello to you all, as you can see from my post count on this site I am new :P

I have got the new VM Samsung HD V+ and it is connected via HDMI to my TV.
I want to get a TV tuner for my computer but I am unsure if I can even connect my box to a PC?

On my old Sky box I had a simple secondary TV out co-ax type connection (RF OUT) but the 3110 has no such port.

How would I connect? Any particlar card you can recommend? What cables would I need?

I would appreciate any advice you may have, and I apolgise if this has already been addressed on this forum, I did search for a thread but couldn't find what I needed.

Thank you in advance

Re: Connect Samsung V+ box to PC. Help needed please.

You need a video capture card (or USB dongle) with composite video input. I can't recommend any particular model, but any cheap one will probably do the job. Just make sure you avoid cards with only digital inputs (e,g, Freeview)

Then you need a lead to connect to the VCR SCART socket on the V+ to the capture card. It will depend on the connectors on the card, but probably something like this

ps. Welcome to the forum!
