Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Hi Smallclone, This what l have been saying for months, it is people such as yourself, who cannot get the best quality tv entertainment, that VM should be supplying.
VM have a duty to its customers, to supply this, they don't care, l am with both companies, I have Sky for its Tv and VM with its phone, when l started with Telewest, l was promised 1500 channels, by the company, when l found out after instal, this wasn't the case, l cancelled. When l had the phone installed by VM l was promised the same thing, it was not to be, l was promised HD channels via the V+ box, so l spent a lot of money on a TV with HD, no HD channels come along, VM should be putting customers first and supplying everyone of the same channels that Sky have, but they won't, as they will only supply channels THEY feel the customer needs. That is why cable customers don't get the same. But they will supply crap +1 channels, which is the same as the original channel.

you may have been 'promised' 1500 TV channels down your 'phone Arthur, but weren't you just a little suspicious how you were going to connect it up?
In my opinion you need to learn to discriminate between what is actually 'promised' & what is marketing hype.To be honest I don't believe someone can be that naive - as such I suspect your posts are mostly for effect & not based in reality.
Before I stretch the T&C's of this forum any further, I will just edit my ever growing ignore list.

Don't you mean 150? 1500 is a bit too many channels.
VM would love to have the same channels as Sky but its just not that simple and straight forward.

Last i check any sky dnt have that many they only have about 800, so either arthur was jsut being daft when he signe dup or he jsut pumping out more stuff to make virign sound bad because the do not have what he wants.
I am waiting on virign filling the other 700 with painting drying etc

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
It's really pretty depressing when the only thing coming soon from VM is a stuffed puppet...

Innit!
The re0branding probably cost then a couple of million... we could have had AT LEAST 1 new HD channel for that!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
Just to answer the question, regarding my 1500 channels, l had a guy from Telewest sitting in my living room, when Telewest laid the cables down my road, And what he said to me was ' I will supply 1500 tv channels, plus 50 radio channels for you, and arrange for you to have as many boxes as you like ' . When the cable was installed, l couldn't understand why, the channels were not there.
So l contacted Telewest, and they stated, that they could only offer so many channels, and the radio channels come via a cable to your main radio, not connected to the cable network, l cancelled Telewest that day.
We only installed it again, as l was out of work, and couldn't afford Sky, this is what l mean by false promises, and l fell for it. Just like the false promises of VM on HD, l bought the box on the promise by VM that they would have HD channels, l even bought a HD Tv SET. on that promise that HD would be here with a few weeks.

Arthur are you really trying ot tell me you believe what sales people tell oyu? cause if that the case i sell you some things get a nice profit and you get a raw deal. sales people always lie to get sale and if you are honestly trying to tell me you never knew this and dnt think sky does it you are really daft. and if it was back then you got it installed there was only about 300 channels on sky i thin k yhou will find it was 150 you jsut misheard or really jsut believewd a sale person would never lie
