XFS files

hi, can anyone tell me how i can read a usb hard drive that is formatted in XFS
i am running vista which won't read that file system and i have tried a ubuntu live cd and i can't see the drive in that either (unless i am looking in the wrong place)

I've never heard of that file format....how did you format it?

it's used on nas drives
i had the usb drive connected to a nas drive but the nas isn't reading the usb anymore so i need to formatt the drive but i don't want to lose the info
