50 meg in portsmouth

hello im having a slight problem with my 20 meg internet, although i get great speeds when downloading things it appears that my connection is not strong enough to host games on xbox cod4, me plus 11 people. when i look at the signal on cod4 everyones got the full 4 bars connection but are still complainig of lag. whilst still looking at this all of a sudden there connection will drop to 1 bar then bounce back up to 4 again then game ends! very frustrating.have tried ringing customer services but get told to go through the ressetting of modem, computer run speed test everything ok scenario.to cut a long rant short can somebody plz tell me when the 50 meg service will be available in portsmouth , po1 area as i am willing to see if when my 20meg service gets swithed on the new docsis if my service improves.

Re: 50 meg in portsmouth

No ones will be able to tell you the date for 50Mb as not even staff know until the day it is live.

Im also in the PO1 area, I have no problems with my connection, although my upstream power level is way off the norm at 61.0 dBmV (think it should be ~55 max) I have had a tech around in the past who couldnt do anything about it, but at some point since then my connections became solid, so haven't needed to contact them.

Prehaps you should check your modem levels, as a bad upstream my be a cause?
