Keyholder, no, the DVD drives have to be specific models with specific firmware, it's an anti-piracy measure. Upgrading the firmware won't help the disk scratching problem either.
Ok cheers, ill just buy another drive and swap the boards over.
However, i can use my dvd drive as a backup , well according to some xbox 360 site says.
