V+ Sound Query
All,
I have a small problem with the V+ box.
V+ is connected via HDMI to the TY.
HDMI over-ride is set to on
Optical connection to Yamaha amp.
Occasionally the mute symbol appears on the screen, the remote does not seem to work. Going to the V+ "home" menu then back to the TV programme gets rid of it.
Any thoughts......

Re: V+ Sound Query
Is it just the symbol that appears or does the sound actually mute?

Can I just ask, what does HDMI over-ride do, as I have it on OFF. Should I leave it on 'ON' if i'm use a HDMI cable from V+ to HD TV?
Thanks

Re: V+ Sound Query
HDMI override should be "ON" if you are using your surround sound amp/receiver for sound (using HDMI or optical connection) but have a (stereo) TV connected to the V+ through HDMI.

Re: V+ Sound Query
I've had that a couple of times and just use the TV speakers. It only happens when I'm connected by hdmi, not by Scart.
You can get rid of the mute symbol just by rebooting though. Not ideal, I know but it gets rid of the annoyance.

I don't need to reboot. Just going to the V+ or "Home" menu and back out seems to clear it.
