The Simpsons new titles
For the first time in nearly twenty years, they've changed the titles to The Simpsons.
Don't worry, it's still the same theme, and still the same basic sequence, but it's now in HD and has a lot more happening..

So when can we expect to see new episodes with the new titles?

Re: The Simpsons new titles
The new titles are great, still being true to the originals yet so much more, I presume though that the couch scene was extended for the first new title??

Re: The Simpsons new titles
OMG! Simpsons in HD. And WIDESCREEN!
That could take some getting used to, although with Scrubs I barely noticed.
Good titles, lots more happening, seems a little slower though.

There have been a few extended sequences in the past. Best one being the evolution one:-)

Re: The Simpsons new titles
Yeah I've seen that one and others before...was just wondering though if they were going to do an extended sequence every week as part of the new titles??

They usually have one when the episode isn't long enough to fill it's full time slot so the extended titles fills up the time.
I like the new titles, especially how nearly all of the newer charachters are in them now

Re: The Simpsons new titles
Does anybody else have like a 6th sense for when the big song and dance opening (with all the elephants, chorus line, fire eaters, tigers, etc) one comes up? I think they must've re-recorded the title theme to make it segue into the big finalé, which makes it sound different. I just know when it's going to be that couch gag.
Or maybe I'm that much of a sad fan!

Re: The Simpsons new titles
Ah, when I watched the newest ep last week i noticed the titles were different, but wondered if it was just a one off. Obviously not.
