Darwin's 200th anniversary

2009 is going to be a very special year on two fronts, on the 12th Feb the great man would have celebrated his 200th birthday and on the 24th Nov its the 150th anniversary of "On the Origin of Species".
When you consider the furore nowadays between Evolution and Creationism, even more so in recent years with the rise in the US of Intelligent Design and the more far-out Young Earth theory, this probably palls into insignificance compared to the uproar when Darwin introduced the theory of Evolution.
As regards science this must be up there as one of the most important books ever written, happy birthday Mr Darwin.
