WOW what speed are you on
3Com CMX
This was the Cable Modem that was originally used on the ntl: Cable Modem Broadband service. It is Docsis only (so will not work reliably if at all, on the parts of the network that use Eurodocsis). It is Ethernet only. 3Com replaced this modem shortly after the launch of the ntl: BB service.
Does not support 10 or 20Mbps Tiers of Service

Re: Are VM installing the VM 256 (AMBIT 256) modem yet
the most it ever saw was about 7.6meg from a 10meg service but then it got dropped down to 2meg when i left so has been working for quite some time, now hes moved to 10meg its not even keeping a stable connection like it used to, its seen 512, 1meg, 3meg and upto 10meg in its life
over 8 years old now and legally able to flog on ebay as i bought the great lunking thing for £149.99 (imagine the uproar if people had to pay that now!), i will probably keep it for posterity

Spray it silver, hell of a paperweight.
Amazed you got over 7MB as it should only do 6MB.

Although you can legally sell it, anyone who bought it could not legally use it
