Re: New deal - any good?
I use a Belkin G+ MIMO router, and have no problems with it. Occasionally (slightly more frequently lately, but still occasionally) it needs a reset at the power socket, but otherwise it's a very capable router, very configurable, and has MAC address filtering.
be careful as bt only allow 8mb to most parts of the country and the cances of you getting the 16mb are next to nil :P

I live in a big town, and fastest I can get on ADSL is 0.5Mb. To get a good speed you have to be within 4 miles of the exchange, and that's the route of the cable run, and not the quickest route by car.

Not many people are 4+miles from their exchange.
Big citys...fine...i suppose, but in big citys both VM and ADSL are a load of crap.

Interesting... I live on the outskirts of a major town, within a mile or so of major north south & east west routes & only 60 miles from London. I wouldn't say its the middle of Nowhere but the max ADSL I could get was 2Mb - which due ti ISP data management is now just over 1Mb - my next door neighbour cannot get ADSL at all and our Exchange is unbundled
