VM Laying new Cable??
AFAIK - VM aren't planning on laying any new cable to add areas to their network.
Though this week I saw a Contractor (its name slips my mind) digging up the road with a sign saying "This work is being undertaken on behalf of Virgin Media" with the rest of the sign implying that they are laying new cable to enable cable services for the area.
Does anyone else know if they are laying new cable or seen anything similar??
A couple of years ago the wickham bypass was dug up and according to the workers they were extending the ntl network. (although they may have been lying).
Surely It's not impossible that there are a few small areas added to the network every now and then.
They would also lay cable for any large business that wanted a direct link. I think the "we are not laying new cable" is purely a residential situation
