Hi Slitheen,
I just had a chat with support re this (I'm Withington too). First line guy said it should be working at 10Mb, he got on to the second line guys who said that some of the cabinets hadn't been updated yet and should be within the next 2-3 days. Fear not, it's on its way.

Hi mrdee, important things first. to the forum.
Thanks for letting us know the result of your conversation with VM. Our upgrade seems to have taken a long time arriving, here's hoping the guy was not just waffling.

Yes - nothing here either!
Some talk about a "change freeze due to the Olympics" in the newsgroups.
But other areas appear to have been upgraded so don't think that is the case.
Hopefully will happen soon though!

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
After reading all the horror stories of lower speeds than before the upgrade, I'm please to say that even during the day I'm getting 9885kbps on speedtest.net, and even though such sites are only a guideline at best, the results tally with my actual download speeds when leeching large files. I can't wait to see how it runs at 2:00am-3:00am or so - when I do most of my downloading.
Very pleased! Well worth the wait!

It seems the coveted TBC Modem Booters club is becoming ever more exclusive.
Anyone know when members of the Telford branch are to have their membership rescinded?
