as long as you dont do it between 10 am and 9 pm or stm will kick in after 1.25 gig

reading taken at 8pm tonight using the thinkbroadband speed test. had to restart my cable modem this morning as lost internet connection, i suppose it had something to do with the upgrade?

no free upgrade still waiting heer in manchester still tbc and still being stm d at 1 meg for 11 hrs a day even though i pay for 4 meg Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£25 for 1 meg bit steep dont you think

Test 2: 1024K took 17343 ms = 59 KB/sec, approx 486 Kbps, 0.47 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 11844 ms = 86.5 KB/sec, approx 713 Kbps, 0.7 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 24328 ms = 84.2 KB/sec, approx 694 Kbps, 0.68 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 681 Kbps, 0.67 Mbps

and no i havent been throttled,havent downloaded anything today.....

erm, you can use it - it drops to 2.5Mb/s.

yes you can still use it, just at a slower rate

You can download when you are not there, you know, if you work nights start it up before you go to work - it should be finished when you get back - ????

i know but when i come home im stm d for 5 hrs at the moment cause iv not been upgraded to 10 meg im on a max of 1 meg when stm d no good for gameing

If you are downloading after 2100 hrs, then you should not (yet) be subject to any STM, and even if you were it 'only' lasts for 5 hours, so I'm surprised if it is still in place after a 'night shift' - STM may not be the problem you are having???

Multitasking while your stm'd is impossible, it cripples the connection way beyond belief.
