WTF was Strauss doing pulling two overs before the end of play?
When Tendulkar was out, I tried to be positive and say 'if they can get them out for 450ish ...' |

I think the victory margin was a bit flattering. All seemed to hinge on a combination of Ambrose's ton and Anderson's 'five for'. Hope we can wrap up the series a bit more convincingly. Time for Shah to get his chance at the expense of Strauss?

Anybody hear CMJ's 'Johnners' moment on TMS yesterday?
Not quite as funny as the Botham 'leg over' original, but worth a listen IMO...

Certainly more entertaining than the game, the weather isn't helping but its a dreary match all the same. |

Whilst not quite in the same league as the classics " The batsmans HOLDING, the bowlers WILLY, or, "Lillie, caught Dilly, bowled Willy" a rather amusing outcome in a local match last weekend.
During a game in the local Central Lancashire League between Rochdale, my local club and Crompton, the Rochdale, West Indian overseas amateur called Dean Currency was trapped lbw by the Crompton spin bowler, Danny Cashin .
Jim.

England fight fire with fire, to combat the much vaunted S African pace attack of Morkel, Steyn, Kallis and Ntini, Englands new ball bowling attack in the second innings was Monty & KP, the look on Graham Smiths face was priceless.
Jim.

Well, as England batted themselves out of the game on the first day they got deservedly twomped by SA.
My first six for the next test in batting order are Broad, Anderson, Cook, Pieterson, Bell, & Fintoff. Now we just need a decent wicketkeeper/batsman and four bowlers.
Jim.
