Microsoft is putting some sort of black hole software in the next update to windows xp. I'm assuming its the same "black hole".

You know what the problem is there? People are using IE and it's so god damn slow that it just stops its operation, hence messages not being received.

Open your max server connections up from 2 in IE and it's actually pretty speedy. Have mine at 4 now. (Trying not to upset site owners, otherwise i'd be going for 8). I have a feeling however my Firefox makes twice that amount of requests anyway...

Defiantly interesting for researching purposes.
Although due to the design of the internet its not all that important. I suppose it could useful in tracking technical issues quicker. Although it would be up the the people in charge of the specific node to sort the problem out once detected.
