Routers for 20mb users
Whatever happened to Virgin Media issuing routers to their 20mb users, i remember there was a thread on here about it a few months ago?
i am also told but dont know if its true that the modems that will be issued for 50mb users will also have an inbuilt router as the current ambits can only achieve a max of around 40mbish.

Re: Routers for 20mb users
I think if you ring up they will still give you one, not sure tbh. But the router i got when i was on 10Mb (as it was at the time) was sub-par IMO.
Always best to call up and ask
As for the new 50Mb modems, yes, they will be pretty different, but i honestly doubt they will include an inbuilt router, as this would more than likely anger a few customers who have advanced home network setups. (Can you imagine all the port issues with it?)

Re: Routers for 20mb users
You need to phone sales to get one, fairly sure they are free on 20mb, certainly are if you upgrade to 20mb, but I think they are free on 4/10 and 20. Otherwise they are £40, nice setup cd though.

Re: Routers for 20mb users
The wireless modem rollout has been stopped for "logistical" reasons.

VM supplying free routers ? there's irony for you, as soon you phone up they'll say blimey you've got a router, sorry guv it's down to you that is. All OK at our end, have you tried connecting directly to the modem to try and get back the missing 19 meg.
