As much as I dislike a lot of people, I don't want to see them dead. I guess you have to be a decent human being to get it.

your old enough to have been there and know its unrealisic to bring in a simple differing political view.
you know full well if you were one of the many , that many UK familys could'nt even afford to buy bread and milk to feed themselves and familys after the direct actions and deeds of Thatcher....
Mugabe?, you do like putting all the key words in your Points of view dont you, what has Mugabe got to do with anything in this thread.....

To want someone dead because you don't agree with their politics or viewpoint is usually what people like Mugabe do.That's the connection.

I dont want to see Thatcher dead just because my political views differ from her, she was an evil woman who caused this country and the people in it a great deal of damage. And no amount of telling me what an nasty person I am will change my opinion which I believe I am entitled to. Oh and comparing me to Mugabe makes you no better than Hitler

Hitler, Pol Pot, Saddam were evil - they killed hundreds of thousands, if not millions - Thatcher introduced market forces to the country, which caused issues (sometimes severe) for some people, but not along the lines of millions dead.
I think my definition of evil may differ from yours.

Re: Thatcher in hospital
Oh how times have changed now she is this evil woman that destroyed this country. Back in the 80's i can remember a massive amount of british people saying how she made them proud to be british as she stood up to the argentinians. What about all those people that were able to buy their council house through right to buy i remember quite a few of them having good things to say about her. As for the miner's it does make me laugh that they put all the blame on her and none on the NUM because at the time they were surely not helping their members with their attitude to the situation, oh and that last bit came from two of my uncle's that were miner's so not all miner's hold her to blame. Hope she is feeling well soon it is so like this country now to represent everything in the worst light with that great aid "hindsight".

Re: Thatcher in hospital
I think that, to have nasty things to say about fellow forum members, is nasty, but l would like to say one thing, l personnaly think she is a bad woman, when she was trying to get into no 10, she conned the women of this country, by saying what women could get cheaper products, to help the weekly bill, and they fell for it, and she got in, and it brought this country to the brink of disaster, she brought in the dreaded Poll Tax, and brought hardship on my family, and probabely a vast amount of families in this country, she would not listen to the people that got her into the big house, in Canada, it last TWO WEEKS, in this country, we saw terrible battles in London, each time she appears on TV, l feel physically sick for what she had done to our proud country, alright she became ill, l would not wish death on anyone, but when she was invited by a LABOUR pm to enter no.10, that was it for me, l just wish that she would go into retirement and don't come back onto the media scene, as she has brought resentment to herself, from the people who cannot stand her. We are all entilted to our own opion, but don't slag people off for what they say, it is not nice for fellow members.
