Noisy Neighbours
My new neighbours have moved their son back in and last night he had his girlfriend round.
Well at 11:30 they started "making love" and finished this session about an hour later with noises that would make Ron Jeremy blush, I mean this girl was on top note, screaming like it was going out of fashion.
Anyhoo I would like to know if there is any way to find out who the landlord is (i'm sure they rent) without asking them.
Any hints would be appreciated as always..
Ry

Re: Noisy Neighbours
Would your local council not know that information or maybe even the electoral roll?

Re: Noisy Neighbours
You can always wait for the neighbours son to come home one night and then bundle him into the back of a van and take him for a wee journey.
That would be the Glasgow way of sorting it out, but you're probably better off looking at the electoral roll or speaking to an environmental health officer.

Re: Noisy Neighbours
I assume there is no way you can approach your neighbour and simply ask them to tone it down?
Is there a managing agent for the block of flats. You can complain to them, asking them to enforce the quiet enjoyment provisions of the lease. They should then formally contact the owner of the flat / and tenant.
Environmental health at the council is a lengthy process.
As a last resort, might I suggest earplugs
It's worth remembering that if you do get into a formal dispute with your neighbour, this can bite you when you come to sell as it's a standard solicitor's question. Neighbour disputes, however irrational the reason, deter buyers and thus devalue property.

Re: Noisy Neighbours
Just wait till you see her leave and say 'hes fantastic isnt he, such a considerate lover - The best ive ever had' then scratch your crotch..
That should do the trick.

If you say 'making love' though any self respecting mancunian will ask you for a fight.

You're lucky its just after 11pm! We're thinking of doing the same thing with our neighbours, as they start at about 2-3am and go on for a while...loudly!!

Its not flats, its two bungalows, I think the other one was buy to let.
I am going to say something, I would rather not have a confrontation though.

Re: Noisy Neighbours
If you do have a quiet word with the couple in question hopefully a sense of embarrassment will prevail and prompt them to tone it down a bit.
Alternatively you could stick your stereo speakers next to the adjoining wall and put the birdie song on while they're engaging in said activities.
