Would The Channel You Have On Your Box Affect Your TV?
ok, i thought id ask this as you all seem very knowledgable on here, but its gonna take a bit of explaining.
i have sky, so have a digital sky box (not HD or HD tv)
anyhow, every morning if i watch ITV (usually during jeremy kyle, so about the same time of day) my TV goes onto standby of its own accord but if i put the TV onto channel 3 in the old way, it stays on
i thought it may have had something to do with the time of day, as i couldnt think of another explanation, so i tried putting old jezza on in the afternoon, and the same thing happens
so i either have a spook who disnt like jezza, or something very odd is happening....any ideas?

Does the tv go into standby when your pressing buttons on your sky remote or whilst watching tv and not pressing buttons?

It'll be the beginning of the roll out of those new-fangled anti Jeremy Kyle devices being covertly fitted to UK televisions.
And not a moment too soon. Lucky you.

And if you're watching Oprah, the TV spontaneously combusts.

Don't have some kind of power save option set do you?
And maybe if the scart plugs not fully in or not fully connected the TV is not realising its on a live input and switching itself into a powersave state.

no nothing like that
the thing is, and this is gonna sound mad, if i have another channel on, it dosnt happen
if i have that channel on, but before 9.30am or after 10.30am, it dosnt happen
also, the same in the afternoon.... thats why i thought it was something to do with how many were perhaps veiwing jezza, or maybe frquency ( god i sound mad now, but i have no clue on techy stuff) or any explanation for whats happening.
