Not really viable without a massive investiment in infrastructure by the ISPs, which, due to the current prices being charged, is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Don't think much of downloads at the moment. e.g. I'd much rather buy a movie on BD / HD DVD, than pay some stupid price for a more compressed & lower quality watch-once-then-it-self-destructs rental (cough XBL Videomarketplace cough).

Then of course there's also usage limits, traffic shaping, etc.
