Just had a phone call from home to say our BB and Cable TV are both not working at the moment. I hope that something is done about Baguley as loss of tv/bb and other problems is a regular thing.

Every god dam time someone has to pick up on a spelling mistake.

It was easy to understand what he was saying maybe hes just not that good at spelling u have to think about things like this as the other person may have a good excuse to why they spell things wrong

The best thing you can do is keep checking the status page and check the maintance you getting on the phone is not gonna help as customer services have no contact with the networks team

Will wait until its actually fixed to see how long it out for. Im guessing you work for Virgin Media?

If so do you have any news on when baguley will be fixed? When i rang up last night i was told the problem was due to 'over utilisation' and will be fixed in the next 24-48 hours? Do you know if this is true or are they just having me on?

Many Thanks

Re: Baguley 6 UBR upgrade

Is that the status page that we have access too?

Is there no one you can speak to that could confirm the date the guy above got in March?

Desperate times here, browsing the internet is about as much fun as sticking pins in my eyes

Hi Starbug,

I got the March figure by suggesting in the Virgin usenet support group that it was an issue of "high utilisation" on the UBR and i asked if there was any planned upgrades. Tech support got back to me and confirmed.
I must stress that you can be told different things each day though.

Today, despite posting numerous traceroute logs showing high hops and timeouts/ packet loss to game servers and common sites in a posting yesterday, i was told that there were no known issues. I guess they mean no actual critical issues, not simply over subscribed.
