Re: Virgin Capp Speed
Looks like it's time to look at alternative BB suppliers, VM phoned me the other day.............do you want the TV package........no chance I mentioned that I may be considering leaving VM because of the caps and the guy on the phone reckoned he had no idea that any caps were in place...........

4 hours from when you hit 3Gb... so if you download 3Gb between 22:00 and 23:59 you will be capped until 03:59...
Doesn't make sense to me personally!!

Re: Virgin Capp Speed
I hit the limit on Friday at 5pm and the speed increased back to 20meg at just after 9pm. No probs with the STM as I always get full speeds at any other times. (upto now I have anyaway) Also I wish people would not use text speak as I do not understand it. Maybe I am just fick!!!!!

No, as VM break their own AUP. if you hit the limit at 11;59pm your shaped till 4am, STM does NOT switch off at midnight at all.

Believe me i realise there are quite a few [and probably loads more who never run tests] that are a lot worse off than me.
There are about 10 NTL internet users in my avenue, i asked 5 of them [as they were the ones at home] if i could run a little test, all of their speeds were considerably lower than what they are paying for, but did'nt care as they "mainly use skype" and "send the odd e-mail".
This is why VM dont care, only a very small minority of subscribers know about this place, they dont realise they are being shafted, and dont bother about value for money.
