Re: Ps3 And Sony Viao

I've never heard of the PS3 being able to connect to a PC via Bluetooth or even Wifi. It's only supposed to be possible via PSP and PS3. Are you sure what you want to do is even possible?

Re: Ps3 And Sony Viao

Yeah it does. That's how the controllers connect to the PS3 wirelessly.

Re: Ps3 And Sony Viao

erm wifi network is your only option. It will only have the bluetooth profiles for its controllers, also bluetooth only just has the bandwidth to play stereo audio!
The ps3 can stream from a windows media player computer (via UPnP) audio and some videos (mpeg1/2 generally and some AVC is coded properly) but thats about it.
You wont be able to play anything the other way as its designed not to do that.

Even if you had enough bandwidth in the connection (bluray will require around 10-15mbit which wifi will strugle to sustain) its encrypted so that it will only play on the final viewscreen (its an attempt to stop people from copying the discs)

I have connected laptop to PS3 too use the PS3 as a Media Player. You can do it either through Vaio Media or Windows Media Player 11. If you look at youtube there are many videos on "how to".
I can stream downloaded videos/flims photos music to my PS3 now....
