O2 Broadband

Just had an email from O2 regarding their broadband service.

Seems pretty good prices, would be interested in anyone elses thoughts or experiances with O2 broadband.

http://broadband.o2.co.uk/packages.jsp

I Dont really use my NTL email addresses anymore as I nearly always use my Gmail account these days. So This wont be a great loss.

Never really had a problem with NTL/Virgin broadband, but for the price I am paying Virgin at the moment, I could have (up to) 20meg

You can, using ADSL 2+ (my connection averages around 18Mbps, and sometimes goes up to 22Mbps).

Re: O2 Broadband

Couldn't even get a decent voice quality over my BT line, but cable soon put that right.

So true. Just got an email from o2 myself no had any passed experience as o2 bb in new but its as papa smurf said. It's just adsl and its a case of what you can get up to depending on distance from exchange and stuff.

Personally anyone who is on cable i wouldn't recommend changing to o2's adsl.

Re: O2 Broadband

How can you really say that when you haven't used o2 BB?

As someone earlier pointed out, it's using ADSL2 lines, so why wouldn't that be better than a bog-standard ADSL line using BT's network?

So you sitting on the exchange then?

Yep would need to be as ADSL2 is worse after a mile from it.

A cable connection... Not possible down a bt line.

Much the same the second time but heck get that down a bt line.
Why we love cable.

Loads and they seem the happiest bunch of customers for an ISP I've come across. Stable - fast - reliable - billed correctly - great CS - brilliant communication with their customers.

Much better than I've seen with any other ISP - including VM (well come on, we all know what they're like)
