What happens if you sync a full iPod with an empty iTunes?
I'm fixing a laptop for a mate and I need to get his music to iTunes from the iPod.
I was under the impression that this was a third party program job.
Will the iPod erase if I press sync? If not, what will happen.
I'm scared to try!!
Going to use ipodrip to do it if necessary.
Cheers.

I think it will wipe the iPod. Use a tool to get the music back from the iPod (unless they cahnged this with recent iTunes updates)

Get anapod instead of iTunes. Why people use iTunes still I don't know.

If you connect the ipod iTunes will erase it, as it syncs the ipod with what is on itunes.

Because it's designed to work seamlessly with the iPod and does the job quite well enough for the vast majority of people?

Re: What happens if you sync a full iPod with an empty iTunes?
On this subject does anyone know the best way to recreate the iTunes playlist on the PC from the iPod. I'm not bothered about having the music on my pc i just want to be able to update my iPod again after my hard drive crashed.
