Recording from the beginning of the program?

Hi all,
On my old Sky+ box, if I came in half-way through a program when the channel was already on, or if I paused a program at its start, I could choose to record the program and it would record the whole thing, not just from the position it was at the point I had come in on or that 'live' moment.

This is annoying me a bit, but not anywhere near as much as it gets to my missus. Is this simply a 'feature' of V+ or am I missing something?

you could still just go back to the beginning of the programme and watch it in delay TV mode as long as the start of the programme had been in the preceding 90 minutes.

Ahhhhhhhh you spotted the V+ oversight - it's crap in it?

since it's the only PVR that can not do this, and it would be so easy to fix, i'd like to think they'll sort it

unfortunately most V+ users never had a PVR before so they don't know any better and hence no one complains about it and hence i can't actually see them fixing it

not a solution - they want to record it not watch it - in fact it makes it so much more annoying to think it's 'already' recorded it and you can't stop it from erasing it

lol well another reason not to come back my kids often use the record it all feature
