i'd go for it (b4 they start charging more!!!) think about how many have been installed, the people on here are only a small representation of V+ users (b4 you all start,i know there will be more that dont post on here who have probs) im talking from personal experience,my wife loves the recordability functions as shes a busy mother of 4,it comes in v.handy.also i am talking from experience as a fault tech in regards to the No of faults visits i get to V+ subs which is virtually non-exisent (my mate in b.burn still has the original 2 he was issued with for swap outs when V+ was launched in ex-ntl) surely that says something.

Re: v+ dont think ill bother
The box as a whole is very good - I can't imagine being without mine now and i think a lot of complaints are because they are passionate about the whole PVR thang
VM current policy means:
1/ you can't have more than one special deal/offer at a time (so you prolly have to pay full rate for V+ adding)
2/ You will prolly also have to start new 12 month contract

Re: v+ dont think ill bother
I'm pleased with mine, I feel for the folks having much grief with theres. The only thing I could possibly moan at is since the firmware upgrade it takes slightly longer to change channels
Oh and 'The Tower' isn't on BBc catch up TV

Re: v+ dont think ill bother
I would also say go for it! Yes some people have problems, but I don't think it's a huge percentage of owners. I had an issue once and VM replaced the box. I love the functionality it offers. If only I could use it as a shared drive on my network to copy HD content onto a secondary hard disk. More HD would be good too. But one of the main benefits to me was HDMI, which is superior to Scart, especially if you have a 40+ inch screen. Quality, both picture and sound is much improved over the old Pace box.

Re: v+ dont think ill bother
Its a good bit of kit. You must remember usually, as yourself, people register on forums to complain about a product or get help - you rarely see someone taking the time to register to tell people that everythings peachy. (To be honest, you can't even do that around here because the vast majority of people on this forum want you dead if you have a perfectly working service from VM).
My advice would be to ask as many people as you can, but yes. I would recommend the V+ - a fantastic bit of kit.
Nick

Re: v+ dont think ill bother
I totally agree with dontpannic. If you look at the source of the negative comments you will see the same members names repeated over and over again. What they lack in numbers they sure make up for in the number of negative posts they make
