HBO on demand - missing episodes

A while ago I was browing the on demand programmes, i was pleased to see that "Band of Brothers" was available. I've been wanting to watch this for quite some time. This is a 10 part series and virgin have got the first 9 available ! How annoying. Every episode except the final one. What the hell is that about ? Whats the point in having the series on demand if you're going to miss crucial episodes ?

Re: HBO on demand - missing episodes

They have been adding 1 episode per week. Same for The Sopranos and Six Feet Under.

Seems a reasonable policy. Eps are usually added Thursday/Friday.
Hope tis clears things up. There's nowt wrong with your service.

Re: HBO on demand - missing episodes

I've been watching BoB, and can only find 7 episodes - and only 5 on HD (not that I can watch HD).

Anyone know where the rest are?

Re: HBO on demand - missing episodes

Is it the first 7 episodes? A lot of the time I see VM adding parts of a series each month.

i.e. I think I remember one of the CSI's were added in batches of 6 episodes each month.

Re: HBO on demand - missing episodes

Yes its the first 7 episodes. I've seen nothing added in the last week or so.

It really is very annoying. Why not just upload the entire series? Its supposed to be on-demand - well I'm demanding the other 3 episodes, and the service cannot deliver.

Quite poor IMO. I wonder why I bother, I could just download them off't'internet.

Re: HBO on demand - missing episodes

It's on BBC2 starting next week, Monday and Tuesday night 11:20ish next few weeks.

I bought it ages ago when it was cheap on TV (it often is), missus had never seen it, I hadn't since first time it was on tv. We watched it and really enjoyed it, in a "I'm really glad I don't have to do that" kind of way. some episodes we watched several in 1 night, 1 however some stuff hapens, we watched the epsidoed and end credits without sayinga word, then just looked at each other, and said "shall we watch somehting a bit more light hearted before going to bed"

The other interesting thing about watching it now, is that loads of ppl (apart from the obvious famous ones) you'll recognise as they have become regulars in various TV shows.

Re: HBO on demand - missing episodes

I've had BoB on DVD for years now as it's my favourite TV show ever. National Geographic channel also show it every now and then.

But I was also similarly annoyed with VM's OD... I started watching Babylon 5 ages ago when I found series 1. Then, after some time, series 2 replaced it. Great, so I watched that. Then, series 3.... Awaiting series 4, what did they do?? Back to series 2! Grrrr.
