Spam

I have VM 2mb broadband with the VM spam filter set to the highest (most likely to catch) of the 3 levels. This has worked very well for the last couple of months with no spam received. However, things have changed in the past week and I am now reciving some very offensive spam up to half a dozen times a day. I always report it via spamcop and they seem to be reporting it back to Italian/South American/Chinese ISPs.

Is it just me or are others also finding the VM spam filter ineffective of late.

Re: Spam

It's not just the VM spam filter- I've noticed the same with VM, Gmail and Hotmail... looks like the spammers are getting cleverer.

I seem to be getting an increase in "random" spam as well- eg-

Re: Spam

I get about half a dozen spam email per day that fail the Gmail filter which has already filtered out a high proportion of the spam.I think it's just impossible to get a absolute fail safe filter without losing genuine emails.
