Re: Wireless speed issues Please Help..

I am having the same issue with my Netgear WNR834B router. When I go wired via the router I get my advertised speed of 20mb, however when I go wireless the most I get is 7-8mb. PC WORLD guys reckon it is to do with my Router which is MIMO and my adapter which is the Intel Pro Wireless 3945abgand not MIMO.
Apparently MIMO uses three of more different channels when broadcasting a bandwidth, and on each of those channels your ISP bandwidth is being split up, so on mine all I get is around around 7mb max, because the adapter (3945abg) only utilises one channel, so does not receive the full signal only part of it.

So can someone tell me if that is true or is that bloke from pcworld talking out his rearend, because I am about to buy the WN511B which is a MIMO card.

Help
